Water-lovers are in luck, there is an array of amazing activities to do on the water. Try a coral reef adventure or helmet diving while at the Dockyards. Go snorkeling and swimming at Horseshoe Bay. And sailing, jet skiing, and shipwreck diving in other spots throughout the island. If you are a nature-lover, you will love this island’s lush flora and fauna. Make sure you go whale watching and see the majestic humpback whales in the wild! Take a family trip through Tom Moore’s jungle, filled with mangroves, swimming holes, and easy to follow walking trails.

If you have children (and really even if you don’t!), investigating the unbelievably clear waters and touching the hanging rock formations of the Crystal and Fantasy Cave, is a fun-filled excursion. Does your family have any animal-lovers? Take a trip over to Coopers Island Nature Reserve where the kids can chase lizards through the walking trails and beaches and the parents can enjoy a relaxing stroll through a peaceful and quiet salt marsh. The Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute offers kids a hands-on experience and captivating exhibits, such as a simulated shark cage or discovering real treasures from shipwrecks.
Where to Visit
Anywhere on the island you stay, you’re going to have a fantastic vacation filled with beaches and warm weather. Many of the resorts scattered throughout the island are geared towards families, and offer kid-friendly activities. If an all-inclusive resort is what you’re looking for, try looking at some of the great options that are situated mid-island. This will give your family the chance to enjoy the all- inclusive, but also get out and explore the northern or southern parts of the island fairly easily. The island is small which gives travelers the ability to explore the entirety of the island in one trip. Bermuda has a fantastic bus transportation system which allows you to easily get from one end of the island to the other, and with spectacular ocean views all along the way!
St. George’s is an extremely popular place to visit.
The old town, made up of cobblestone streets and colorfully-painted houses, is an UNESCO World Heritage site and is a quaint place to explore. Start with an adventure around Fort St.Catherine, with its spectacular oceanside setting, and then cool off at the beautiful Tobacco Beach.
Hamilton is the capital city of Bermuda, so it boasts a lot of great attractions.
Here you’ll find the ocean exploration center, the aquarium, high-end shops, and amazing dining options. Bermuda has a reputation for their delicious seafood and strong rum cocktails. Hamilton offers many unique and interesting venues to try both! It’s also great spot on the island if you and your pack appreciate a bustling nightlife scene! If you are an undersea or aquarium lover, you will love the Bermuda Aquarium and the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute. Either or both are a great way to spend an afternoon!
The Dockyards is home to the Royal Navy and has been transformed into an interesting complex full of restaurants, markets, and shops.
Located on the opposite end of the island as St. George’s, you can go there by bus or a scenic ferry ride. The history and
original stonework is well-preserved, making this a beautiful area to wander through (and get lost!). History- buffs and shopaholics alike will have fun! This is also the location of the National Museum of Bermuda, where you can really get a sense of the history and significance of this little island nation. If you love snorkeling, there is also a beautiful snorkel park nearby.
Horseshoe Bay, located in Southampton Parish, is another one of the popular destinations in Bermuda.
Here you’ll find the iconic pink sand beaches that everyone talks about. Recently names the Number 8 beach in the WORLD, according to Trip Advisor, its a no-brainer that you must visit. There are also some gorgeous golf courses and spas to enjoy on this wonderful island.
